Ended Up Here

Today I decided I needed to build a portfolio. There were many reasons behind this, of course, as I am diving into the real world, but somehow I ended up here, blogging! Even though I don’t know if I’ll be any good at blogging or have much to say, I’ll only know once I try it. So here I am, trying it.

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Caty Parker. I am a 20 year old from a small town in Arkansas who one day decided she’d graduate college a year early. Giving myself one less year to complete my courses, do an internship, and prepare for, well, life.

No two things I do are alike. I’m a sorority girl, a college softball player, an agriculture major, and a hobby artist. I love the gym and have recently been obsessed with podcasts. (Don’t worry, I won’t be starting a podcast anytime soon)

The transition period from college to career is typically described as inevitable doom. Which is not the most encouraging way to go about it. As I took a tiny step into adulthood, reality slapped me in the face. The real world is full of taxes, no summer breaks, and five million things that need to be done at once. I want to take you with me through the successes and the failures. Consider me your adulthood guinea pig.

I hope you follow along on my journey of trying to figure out life. I can assure you it will be a fun one.

Until next time,
Caty Parker
